“Let Us Steadfastly Love One Another”
Throughout my time in Delta Delta Delta, I have been able to hold various officer positions. Each officer position has taught me different life skills I will continue to utilize on a daily basis.
During my freshmen year I was selected amongst my peers to hold the position photography chairman. As a freshmen, I did not know what this position would entail but I knew I was eager to serve my chapter. I quickly learned the importance of booking event photographers as soon as possible. Also, I learned the importance of staying on top of events and your calendar.
Sophomore year I was selected by my peers to be the membership development chairman. This position allowed me to realize the importance of working with others and listening to what the chapter wants. Also, I really understood the importance of having and maintaining a positive morale throughout the chapter. This position allowed me to develop event planning skills through the planning of a formal dinner for Spring Parent’s Weekend and various Sisterhood events. Each of these events had 250+ people in attendance. Furthermore, I gained more confidence in budgeting for large scale events. Spring Parent’s weekend was budgeted for $15,000 and Sisterhood events were budgeted for $12,000.
Senior year I was selected by my peers to be the Vice President of Public Relations. This position has been nothing but a joy to fulfill! Through this position, I have utilized my skills gained from UPC to improve our chapter’s social media presence. My main goal was to ensure the chapter is being accurately represented and ensure various girls are being featured for their achievements not only in Tri Delta but also on Auburn’s campus. I serve the chapter and also manage 15 officer positions below mine.
